BEWARE Ranbir! Bachchan Is Getting Ready To Clash With You
Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar 3 starring Big B has a new release date. With that, he has certainly avoided a face off with Vidya’s Begum Jaan but will still clash with another film...
In a time where big films do not hesitate to clash with each other at the box-office, Amitabh Bachchan has always tried to keep his Fridays clash-free! Most of his films release on a non-holiday weekend and manage to hit the bull’s eye.
So, when news came that his Sarkar 3 is set to clash with Vidya Balan's Begum Jaan on March 17, a change of date was definitely awaited. And director Ram Gopal Varma did just that! He made an announcement on social media about his film’s new release date.
Yes, Sarkar 3 will now hit theatres on April 7 which is also RGV's birthday and in his 25 years' long career he hasn't ever released a film on his birthday. Self-proclaimed critic KRK was the one to notice this and he tweeted about the same.
Here’s what RGV replied to KRK’s tweet revealing another surprise factor connected to April 7.
Francis Coppola is the director of The Godfather - from which Sarkar has been inspired.
Now that would have been good news for Vidya Balan and team Begum Jaan, but it sure isn't very pleasing news for Anurag Basu, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. Remember, Jagga Jasoos? Yes, the much delayed project finally got a release date and that is also April 7.
So, Big B has chosen Ranbir and not Vidya to clash with at the box-office!
Jagga Jasoos will be Ranbir's first production venture and he along with the whole cast and crew is trying hard to complete the film for the slated release date. The film was first announced in 2013 and was set to release the following year.
However, numerous other work commitments by the lead actors came up, along with some health issues, and last but not the least, the break-up of the lead couple in their real life caused a further delay. Now with so much time already spent, the makers surely didn't expect the film to have another big release on the very same Friday. Alas!
